It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Chester Purgason of Mohawk, Tennessee, who passed away on February 15, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Selma Fox Purgason; his daughter Joyce Lamb; his parents, Wayne Purgason and Annie Mae Purgason; and his brother Cleve Purgason.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Purgason; his daughter Jayne DuBose; his sons-in-law, Kevin DuBose and Larry Lamb; his grandchildren, Laura Lamb (Katharine Duckett) and Todd Lamb (Jess); his great grandchildren, Erin and Anna; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Walker, Peg Goff (Duke) and Beulah Purgason. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, step children and step grandchildren.
