He was predeceased by: his wife Sue Ann Jones; his parents, Thomas Calvin (T. C.) and Mary Jones; and his siblings, Jerry Jones and Joyce Jones-Harris of Minor Hill.

He is survived by: his children, Bridget Jones of Minor Hill and Tim Jones of Minor Hill; and his sister Marchelle (Kevin Kirby) of Anderson, AL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
