He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy; his parents, Garner and Marie; and his brothers, Clinton and Wesley.
He is survived by: his close friend Patsy Tidwell; his children, Patricia "Trish" Boone (Jim) and Peter Edmiston (Robin); and his grandchildren, Brittain and Vivian.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Wilbur's memory to one of the following charities: Baptist Centers for Good Grief, MIFA, Porter-Leath, or to the UT-Martin program earmarked for the Wilbur G. and Peggy W. Edmiston Walk-On Scholarship Endowment.
