She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnie Criswell and Thomas Lee Criswell; and her brothers, John Criswell, Bobby Criswell, Richard Criswell and Jerry Criswell.
She is survived by: her husband Wilburn Thornton; her children, Sherry Hill (Alan), Jeff Thornton (Brenda) and Vonda Rivers (Jack); her grandchildren, Alan Hill, Jr. (Whitney), Carlie Hill, Cassidy Hill, Wil Thornton (Allyn), Deidre Haley (Tyler), Dustin Rivers (Erica), Alexis Williamson (Cody) and Cade Rivers; her great grandchildren, Shane Pannell, Alan Hill, III, Landon Haley, Zander Haley, Oaklee Haley, Presley Rivers and Weston Rivers; and her siblings, Frances Sewell, Alice Shanklin, George Criswell (Donna) and Eddie Criswell. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
