It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Phelps Nail of Millington, Tennessee, who passed away on May 15, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Fred C. Nail, Jr.; her parents, Charles Lee Phelps and Elsie Hazel Sharpe Phelps; and her brothers, Charles and Terry Phelps.

She is survived by: her daughters, Anita Whitmire (Dilly), Cecilia Wilson (Doug) and Vicki Bennett (Robert); her grandchildren, Teresa Rosengrant (Chris), Fred Whitmire, Sr. (Danielle), Melissa Hock, Carol Loomis (Ben) and Katherine Bennett; her great grandchildren, Allison Boyle, Annabelle Loomis, Isabelle Hock, Doninic Whitmmire and Fred Whitmire, Jr.; and her siblings, Sammy Phelps, Mildred Gump, Jeanette Cook, Jerry Phelps, Gay Hughes and Kay Carter.
