She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Quick and Mattie Quick; her husband Elbert E. Cates; her son Richard Cates; and her siblings, Clarence, Robert, John, Ralph Quick, Vera Thomas, Shirley Jean Cates and Sarah Quick.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Riley (William), Marsha Jolly (Ray), Carol Holloway, Deborah Walker and Dee Anna Hussey (David); her grandchildren, Kaleb Cates, Jesurun Cates (Megan), Krisen Carr (Paul), Lora Cates (Harrison), Anna Wilson, Stephen Cates (Rose), Sarah Marbry (Drew), Philip Cates, Cecilia Calleja, Lisa Danielson (Robert), Vanessa Romaine (Trevor), Patrick Riley (Krisen), Sammy Vest (Marlene), Kathy Vest, Tina Grimes, Gregory Grimes (Shannakay), Charley Walker (Lisa), Danny Hussey (Lindsey) and Cory Hussey (Rita); and her sister Sandra Craig (Bobby). She is also survived by 27 great grandchildren and 145 nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home (6755 US-51, Millington, TN 38053). Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
