He was predeceased by: his daughters, Linda Dunn (Landon) and Judy Freeman (Mike); and his brothers, James Evans and Buddy Evans. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Evans; his children, Ruthann Strawbridge (John Rorie) of Oakland, TN and Tim Evans (Susan) of Memphis, TN; his former wife Jeanette Burkhead; his grandchildren, Kay Oglesby (Todd), LaDonna Smith (Michael), Chrissy Poe, Amy Rogers (Matthew), Brad Evans (Kami), Heather Evans (Josh McDowell), Kristi Evans, Jeremiah Rorie, Chase Strawbridge and Jordan Strawbridge; his great grandchildren, Landon Oglesby (Chevelle), Amber Oglesby, Megan Smith, Dylan Vales (Kristi), Madison Smith, Abigail McDonald, Austin McDonald (Kerissa), Miley McDonald, Kailey Hall, Hunter Hall, Wyatt Rogers, Ivy Rogers, Harley Carter, Sophia Evans, Rory Evans, Madison McDowell, Mason McDowell and Cross Evans; and his great great grandchildren, Dexter Oglesby, Lenox Oglesby, Jaidyn Vales, Ryleigh Vales, Alana Ross and Bailee Ross.
