He was predeceased by: his wife Dovie Lee Carter; his daughter Sherry Carter; his parents, Herbert Holmes Carter and Hazel Jackson Carter; and his siblings, Sandra Fugate and Darrell Carter.
He is survived by: his son Ronald Carter (Faye) of Millington, TN; his grandchildren, David Carter and Jessica Barratt (Chris); and his great grandchildren, Oliver and Elliot Barratt.
