She was predeceased by: her husband Julius Birchfield; her daughter Marcia Burns; and her children-in-law, Lorraine Birchfield and David Burns. She is survived by: her children, Tim Birchfield (Terri) of Brighton, TN, Tom Birchfield (Rosalind) of Fayetteville, GA and Elizabeth Sater (James) of Carthage, MO; and her brother Jim Cunningham (Dixi) of Lenoir City, TN. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

The family asks any memorials be made to the Tennessee Baptist Children's Home.
