She was predeceased by: her husband Joe Dan Welch; her parents, JB McCommon and Sarah McCommon; and her brothers, Elton McCommon, Norris McCommon, Marshall McCommon, Rayburn McCommon and John McCommon Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Kim Britt (John), Joe Robert Welch (Dona), Danny Welch (Lori), Randy Huggins (Pam) and Jan Welch; and her sisters, Helen Mauldin and Charlene Bowman. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
