He was predeceased by: his parent Asa Jacob Estes; his wife Barbara S. Estes; his parent Jewell Celeste Rogers Estes; and his sisters, Viola LePage, Helen Bingham, Dorothy Sells and Shirley James.

He is survived by: his children, Debborah R. Lanier and Tabrina L. Estes (Nikki) of Millington, TN.; his sister Odetta Holland of Advance, MO.; his grandson Shawn Lanier; and his great grandchildren, Tristyn Lanier of Millington, TN. and Harlyn Lanier of Millington, TN..
