Herman E. Oglesby Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 24, 2025, Herman E. Oglesby of Millington, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Herman farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Herman is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Lee Oglesby; and his daughter Rita Oglesby Fort. He is survived by: his children, Connie Dykes, Brenda Deaton, Michelle Everitt, Darrell Oglesby, Clay Oglesby and Dean Oglesby; and his brother J. D. Oglesby. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Millington Chapel (7450 Raleigh Millington Rd, Millington, TN 38053). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
