She was predeceased by: her parents, James Matthews and Tena Matthews; and her husband Joe. She is survived by: her former husband Joseph Mack Bearden; her sister Maxine Stevens of Nacogdoches, Texas; her sisters-in-law, Shirley Matthews of Stamps, Arkansas and Jessie Matthews of Shreveport, Louisiana; her children, Michael Bearden (Lynn) and Mary Bearden of Longview, Texas; her grandchildren, Jennifer Bearden of Hallsville, Texas, Lara Holloway (Cody) of Hallsville, Texas, Daylon Bearden of Longview, Texas, Alex Bearden of Junction City, Kansas, Caleb Bearden of Longview, Texas and Sebastian Bearden of Longview, Texas; and her great grandchildren, Calym, Amryn, Olivia, Audrey and Max Holloway of Hallsville, Texas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
