He was predeceased by: his parents, James Calvin Thompson and Pearlie Gertrude "Gert" Thompson; his wife Carolyn Dennison Thompson; and his brother Bobby Thompson. He is survived by: his children, Mike Thompson (Teresa) of Newbern, Amanda Davis (Steve) of Millington and Lisa Fletcher (Steve) of Arlington, Tennessee. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
