He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Mitchell and Sidney Mitchell; and his brothers, Carey and James Mitchell. He is survived by: his siblings, Sandra Owens (Jeff), Jeffrey Mitchell (Carol) and Michael Mitchell (Elizabeth); and his nieces and nephews, Sarah Ross (Jason), Jennifer Miller (Gary), Olivia Sine (Cam), Mary Bender (Ed), Jack Mitchell and Sydney Mitchell.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks contributions be made to The Carpenters Helpers group of First Baptist Church in Millington, TN.
