She was predeceased by: her parents, George W. Hayes and Beulah Jenkins Hayes; her grandson Alex Smith; and her siblings, Ruby Hayes Rainey, Robert Hayes, Henry Hayes, Thurman Hayes, Raymond Hayes, George Hayes, Jr., James Hayes and Lyndell Hayes.
She is survived by: her husband Dwain Smith of Milan; her sons, Rickey Smith (Ruth Ann) of Bradford and Greg Smith (Nola) of Milan; her grandchildren, Eric Smith of Munford, TN, Brad Smith of Waukesha, WI, Jackie Wagner (Josh) of Milan and Clint Smith (Sierra) of Binghamton, NY; her great grandchildren, Jaxon Smith, Levi Wagner, Mia Kate Wagner and Hayes Wagner; and her siblings, Opal Lessenberry of Lavinia and Chester Hayes (Sue) of Paris, TN..
