He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hayes and Beulah Jenkins Hayes; and his brothers, Thurman Hayes, Ray Hayes, Henry Hayes, Raymond Hayes, Robert Hayes and George Hayes, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Linda Faye Hayes; his children, Chris Hayes (Melinda) of Milan and Belinda McIntosh of Trimble; his close friend Gloria Prather of Atwood; his brother C. B. Hayes (Sue) of Paris; his grandchildren, Nick McIntosh (Tabitha) of Savannah, Ryan Taylor (Nicole) of Milan, Brittany Launsby (Wayne) of Bradford, Krystal Taylor of McKenzie and Latasha Crocker (Adam) of Milan; and his great grandchildren, Madison Crocker, Benjaman Crocker, Brighton Launsby, Tanner Launsby, Dylan Bates, Zane Campbell, Hayden Willams, Collen Williams and Millie Taylor.
