She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Mae Buffington Thrall; her adoptive father Robert Walker "Bob" Kennedy; her father Anniston of Alabama; her husband George Burns; her stepdaughter Katherine Ann; her siblings, Bill, Marie and Leola; her son Robert; and also Sara Almedia "Meadie" Reynolds Kennedy. She was also cherished by seven grandchildren (and their spouses), and fifteen great-grandchildren.
