He was predeceased by: his wife Annie Lee Walls Griffy; his daughter Jessie Lee Griffy; his parents, Jessie Griffy and Rosetta Griffy; and his siblings, Issac Cleo Griffy and Luella Cruthers.
He is survived by: his children, Pamela Griffy Phillips of Milan, TN, Robert T. of Primm Springs and James L. Griffy of Primm Springs; and his sister Jean Rochester of Decatur, AL. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
