He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Quentin Murphree and Jane Turner Murphree; his wife Shirley Rushing Murphree; his siblings, Cooky Murphree and Carol Jane Murphree Jones; his children, Jonathan Murphree (Amy) of Milan and Robin Dowland (Brent) of Milan; his brothers, Charlie Murphree (Debra) of Jackson and Tom Murphree of Memphis; his grandchildren, Ashley Dodd (Ryan) of Knoxville, Dylan Murphree (Nikki) of Milan, Katie Dowland of Nashville and Molly Dowland of Milan; and his great grandchildren, Sayler Murphree of Milan, Wilson Murphree of Milan and Blakey Dodd of Knoxville.
