She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Babb and Lena Babb; her husband Charles Beard; her daughter Deborah Mills; and her siblings, Buddy Babb, Hazel Finney and Helen Bushnell.
She is survived by: her children, Charlotte Stevens (W. F.) of Benton, MS and Chuck Beard of Milan; and her sister Louise Crawford of Coldwater, MS. She is also survived by six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
