He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurman Warren Rice and Cora Watts Rice; his wife Helen Roberts Rice; his son Tommy Leon Rice; his siblings, Zora Morgan and Ronald Rice; and his granddaughter Michelle.
He is survived by: his wife Esther Rice; his children, Richard Rice (Sharon) and Vickey Bowers; his stepchildren, Judy Denny (Rick) and Robert Livingston, Jr. (Dawn); his sister Zella Justice; his grandchildren, Scotty Rice (Stephanie) and Jeff Bishop; and his great grandchildren, Cheyenne, Dakota, Shasta Rice and Jesse Bishop. He is also survived by seven step grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren.
