He was predeceased by: his wife Janie Hartman Solomon; his parents, Frank Solomon and Nellie Solomon; his sister Ruth; his brother-in-law Ted Cobble; his brother Howard Gene Solomon; and his parents-in-law, Tom and Virginia Hartman.

He is survived by: his sister-in-law Janie Gray Solomon; and his nieces and nephews, Diane, Tommy Keasling, Anthony, Faith Solomon, Lisa and Michael Britton.
