He is survived by: his wife Brenda Johnson; his sons, Derrick Johnson (Amanda), Daniel Johnson (Kasey) and Devan Johnson (Erica); his grandchildren, Nathaneal, Leah, Alex, Avry and Addison Johnson; his nieces, Suzanne Shults and Elenia Campbell; his nephew Jonathan Kirk; his mother-in-law Geraldine Kirk; and his siblings-in-law, Jerry Lynn, Joann Kirk and Myra Johnson.
