He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Edward and Lillie Gertrude Sisco Howell; his wife Eva Mae Freeman; his children, Patricia Mae Howell and Tommy Howell; and his siblings, Sadie Mae, Lillie Fae, Dorothy, Virgil, James, Orville, Jackie, Leon and Billy Howell.
He is survived by: his children, Johnny Howell of Bolivar, William G. Howell, Marilyn Howell (Joe) of Middleton and Danny Howell (Barbara) of Palatine, IL; his siblings, Linda Webb (Ray) of Pinson, TN and Frankie Howell (DeAnna) of Bolivar; his grandchildren, Chris Burns (Jennifer), Bryon Burns (Elizabeth), Desi Ball (Joe), Tabi Kingfisher (J. C.), Joe Howell, III (Hailey), Maria and Kayla Howell; and his great grandchildren, Destiny Pennewell, Damian Sutton, Chris Burns, Jr., Deacon Skidgel, Blake Burns, Isaiah Sutton, Ethan Burns, Caleb Burns, Hudson Sharp, Nevaeh Kingfisher, Dusty Howell and Joe Howell, IV.
