He is survived by: his son Mark Lavern Smalley (Christina); his grandchildren, Darwin and Annie; his siblings, David Smalley (Barbara), Richard Smalley, Jimmy Smalley, Dianne Mumford (Howard) and Denese Smalley; and his nieces, Bridget Smalley Roberts (Paul), Sara Nicole Smalley and Cheyenne Cook.
