He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dewitt and Myrtle Mae Rollison Wilbanks; his children, Rockey Lynn Shook and Debra Jeanine Abbott; his grandson Billy Wayne Hawkins; his great grandchild Kaden Blake Sanders; and his sister Annie Laura Wilbanks.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce G. Wilbanks of Pocahontas; his daughter Carla Morrow (Mike) of Walnut, MS; his brothers, O. M. Wilbanks (Patricia) of Ramer and Leslie Wilbanks (Kay) of Counce, TN; and his daughter-in-law Yvonne Shook of Hickory Flat, MS. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and other extended family.
