He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmie Wesley Simons and Connie Maureen Boyd Simons; and his daughter Melody Russell. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Simons of Middleton, TN; his sons, Andy Simons (Brandy) of Whiteville, TN and Mike Simons (Jacque) of Williston, TN; and his grandchildren, Samantha, Carson, Addison, Brady, Maddox and Hadleigh.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to go to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Ames Plantation Historical Society.
