James W. Lanier Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 20, 2023, at the age of 80, James W. Lanier of Middleton, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Newt G. Lanier and Lillian Porter Lanier; his brother Robert Lanier; and his brothers-in-law, Richard O'Neal and Ray Sutherland.

He is survived by: his wife Patty Rich Lanier; his children, Lisa Donahue (Andy) of Arlington, Rodney Lanier (Lori) of Middleton, Gary Lanier (Tommie Lyn) of Middleton and Brad Lanier (Lisa) of Middleton; and his siblings, Peggy Sutherland of Vardaman, MS, Brenda O'Neal of Germantown, TN, Kenneth Lanier (Elizabeth) of Middleton and Max Lanier (Patti) of Middleton. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
