He is survived by: his significant other Wanda York; his son David Farris (Priscilla); his grandchildren, Paige Farris, Jaycee Farris, Allie Moore, Kayli Hurst, Olivia Hurst and Colby Hurst; and his siblings, Haywood Farris, Ronald D. Farris, Frances McAlister and Martha Lavern Steakley.
