He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Edward Davis, Sr. and Sylvia Rene Moore Davis; his son Brian Richard Davis; and his siblings, Christie Farrell, Richard and Donald Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Georgia Newman; his children, Lisa Michelle Davis of Bethel Springs, Angela Fitzgerald of Humboldt and Joseph Edward "Joey" Davis of Martin; his siblings, Judy Alexander of Lexington, Sylvia Reynolds of Jackson and Johnny Davis of Jackson; his grandchildren, Dalton, Madison, McKenzie, Brooklyn Davis, Sahara, Eden Fitzgerald, Ashton Chessor and Hunter Draganowski; and his great grandchildren, Jude, Roman Fitzgerald, Lucca, Cambri Davis, Persephone Burnette and Parker Allen Hall, Jr..
