He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Jean King; his parents, Will Ella Craver and Elvis Lloyd King; and his siblings, Eloise Ingram, Margret Wamble, Elvis Lloyd King Jr. and Roy Neil King.

He is survived by: his children, Walter Douglas King and Vickie Stafford (Jerry). He is also survived by four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
