It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Ray Caplinger (Memphis, Tennessee), who passed away on February 26, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kelsy Jenkins Caplinger, Jr. and Ethel Turner Caplinger; his son Kevin Thomas Caplinger; and his brother Kelsy Jenkins Caplinger, III. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Caplinger; his children, Chris Caplinger (Nancy Malcom) of Statesboro, Georgia and Beverly Brooke Caplinger of Memphis; and his grandsons, Noah Caplinger and Thomas Scott Caplinger. He is also survived by five nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to the University of Memphis' General Scholarship Fund, the American Cancer Society, Emmanuel United Methodist Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
