He was predeceased by: his wife Ima; and his children, Selma and Teddy. He is survived by: his children, Mary Elizabeth Miller, Ronald Kirksey and Mike Vanaman; his grandchildren, Braxton, Daniel, Blair, Caylan, Evan, Kevin, Karla, Justin and Mark; and his sisters, Dot, Tabitha and Kate. He is also survived by 16 great granchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Southaven Church of Christ building fund.
