He was predeceased by: his mother Virginia Benham; his former wife Patricia; and his daughter Patrice. He is survived by: his wife Judith Bryant; his son William Stanton Bryant (Joanne) of New York; his grandsons, Elliot and Ian Bryant; his stepson Scott Bourland; his stepgrandsons, Justin and Kyle Bourland (Laura); and his grandson Kyle.

Stan was a member of Leadership Memphis and served on the Board of Directors for the Alzheimer's and Dementia Services of Memphis, Inc. Stan lived a multifaceted life.

“Very sad to hear about Stan's passing away. I had the pelassure to work with Stan at International Paper Co. in Memhis. He was one of the best bosses I ever had and we had the chance to travel arround the world. Most importnatly, he was a great, noble and very fair human being. I will always remember him as a true southern gentleman with a great sense of humor and an appreciation for the finest things in life. My depest condolences to his wife and son.
