He was predeceased by: his wife Reba; and his sister Lydia Knapp. He is survived by: his daughter Ellen Ambrose Kilgore (Don); his grandsons, Joseph Kilgore (Beth), Steven Simeon Kilgore (Marjorie) and Jeffrey Leland Kilgore (Taylor); and his great grandchildren, Anna Elizabeth, Joseph Reed, Carolyn Elise, Jeffrey Leland, Sally Frances and Simeon Augustus.
