She was predeceased by: her father Frank Simmons Jr.; her brother Jeffery Wayne Simmons; her mother Lucille R. Simmons; and her parents-in-law, J. W. Woods and Ocie Woods.

She is survived by: her husband Gregory Woods; her siblings, Reginald (Bobbye), Rita, Janice (Michael), Eric (Shelanda) and Arphelia (Thomas); her aunts, Eddie Mae Blackwell of Memphis, Tennessee and Hattie Dean of Memphis, Tennessee; and also, Jerome (Betty), Thaddeus and Danny (Cleather). She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, friends.
