She was predeceased by: her parents, Eunice Arendale Smith and Samuel W. Smith. She is survived by: her children, Gaynor Beaty-Mann (Derek), Natalie Beaty-Vickery (Richard), Stephanie Beaty-Brazzell (Scott) and William S. Beaty (Dave Jones); her siblings, Debbie Duvall and David Smith; and her husband Lavearl Blue Beaty Jr.. She is also survived by six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
