She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Riley and Virginia of Washington; her husband Socrates Holmes; and her son Sammie Steen. She is survived by: her sons, Jimmie Steen of Memphis, TN and Michael L. Miller, Sr. (Annette) of Memphis, TN; her siblings, Willie Steen and Shirley Walker of Gary; and her sister-in-law Katherine Steen. She is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
