He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jean Johnson Houston and Robert Houston; his children, Garrett Lewis Houston of Albuquerque and Lyndsey Grace Houston of Memphis; and his brothers, Chris Houston (Jennifer), Patrick Houston (Dana) of Memphis and David Houston of Knoxville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Tennessee, 498 Halley Pkwy. #102, Collierville, TN 38017 or charity of the donor's choice.
