He was predeceased by: his parents, Maury Knowlton and Martha Irvin Knowlton. He is survived by: his wife Dixie Lewis Knowlton; his children, Dr. David Knowlton (Heather) of Glen Carbon, IL and Beth Knowlton Warren (Brian) of Yorkville, IL; his grandchildren, Emma Knowlton, Sarah Knowlton, Matthew David Warren and Maury Elizabeth Warren; and his siblings, Martha Knowlton Peeples and Sam Dove Knowlton II (Gwen). He is also survived by many cousins, nephews, and nieces.
