She is survived by: her husband Allen Overton Battle; her son Allen Overton Battle III; her siblings, Rosemary Herman, Richard Vroman, Irma Vroman and Larry Tillemans; and her goddaughter Denise Weedman. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family requests memorial donations be made to The University of Memphis, Catholic University of America, or the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception rather than delivering anything to the residence.
