With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mae M. Cohens (Memphis, Tennessee), born in Eads, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 21, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Mae leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Mae may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Brooks and Sadie Brooks; her husband Henry Cohens, Jr.; her daughters, Jeanette and Beverly; and her sister Maurine.
She is survived by: her children, Althea, Felix and Clarence (Clarie) of Dallas, Texas; her siblings, SamEtta Bland and Leonard Brooks (Estelle); and also L. B. Brooks (Brenda). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Golden Gate Cathedral (3240 James Rd, Memphis, TN 38128). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
