It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lula Hayslett of Memphis, Tennessee, born in Macon, Tennessee, who passed away on March 4, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Evans and Allie Mae Evans; her husband Tommy Hayslett "Tip"; her grandchildren, Valerie and Travis; and her great grandchild Amiri.
She is survived by: her children, William (Vicki), Clyde (Erma), Earnestine (Ron), Tommy Jr., Alonzo (Lisa), Helen, Norma (Tarik) and Velma; her siblings, Doris Jones, Elsie B. Jackson, Robert Evans and Naroy Evans; and her sisters-in-law, Catherine Hayslett and Rose Hayslett. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life service will be at 11:00 a. m., Saturday March 13, 2021, at Zion Temple (C. O. G. I. C.) 2935 Sam Cooper Blvd, Memphis, Tn. (Due to Covid, limit attendance is required).
