He is survived by: his sons, David Holmes of Nashville, Tennessee, Robert Holmes (Susan Brown) of Senatobia, Mississippi and Justin Holmes of Batesville, Mississippi; his sister Connie Holmes Sanders of Memphis, Tennessee; his nephew G. Jeffrey Sanders of Memphis, Tennessee; and his granddaughters, Sarah Holmes O'Neal (Levi) of Como, Mississippi and Suzy Holmes Burgess (Riley) of Batesville, Mississippi..
