It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Walker Jr. in Memphis, Tennessee, born in Saint Francis, Arkansas, who passed away on November 7, 2024, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Walker Sr. and Augusta Hodges Walker. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Walker of Forrest City, AR; his children, James Walker III of Forrest City, AR, Frederick Walker and Yashica Torres of Jacksonville, FL; and his siblings, Eugene Walker of Biloxi, MS, Louise Fields of Forrest City, AR, Alberta Hayes of Forrest City, AR and Angela Walker of Forrest City, AR. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Clay Funeral Home (2522 E Broadway Ave, Forrest City, AR 72335). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the United Christian Baptist Church (203 W Franklin Ave, Forrest City, AR 72335). A burial was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Ar State Veteran Cemetery-Birdeye (3600 AR-163, Cherry Valley, AR 72324).
