He is survived by: his sons, James Britt Hanes (Kimberly) of Columbia, Anthony Bryan Hanes (Peggy) of Lavergne and Adam Trent Hanes (Michelle) of Columbia; his siblings, Imogene Rye of Erin, Joyce Carpenter of Clarksville, Dell Hines, Katherine Hanes of Columbia, O'Neil Hanes (Rachel), Minor Hanes (Reecie) of Primm Springs, Arnold Hanes (Mary) and Aaron Hanes; his grandchildren, Allie Hanes, Hannah Hanes, Olivia Hanes, Caraline Hanes, Faith Hanes and Reagan Hanes; and his siblings-in-law, Anna Caldwell (Billy), Rosa Perko (Joe), Tony Hie (Nita) and John Hie (Tricia). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
