It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Flossie Evelyn Self of Memphis, Tennessee, born in Sledge, Mississippi, who passed away on October 29, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John Self; her parents, Bud White and Lillian White of Lambert, Mississippi; and her sister Elsie Wiggs of Marks. She is survived by: her brothers, William White of Lambert, Tommy White of Olive Branch, Elbert White of Olive Branch, Jimmy White of Olive Branch and Robert White of Byhalia, Mississippi.; her children, Donna Moses (Ronald) of Memphis, Tennessee and Steven Self (Libby) of Crestwood, Kentucky; her siblings, Joyce Morehead of Southaven, Peggy Eldred of Southaven, Mississippi, Kenneth White of Olive Branch and Larry White of Southaven, Mississippi; and her grandchildren, Anthony Moses, Allison Moses and John Thomas Self.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Forest Hill Funeral Home (2440 Whitten Rd, Memphis, TN 38133). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Forest Hill East Cemetery (2440 Whitten Rd, Memphis, TN 38133).
