It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emma Mae Wright of Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on February 22, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Emma Mae may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Emma Mae touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Paul Douglass Missionary Baptist Church (1543 Brookins St, Memphis, TN 38108). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Memphis National Cemetery (3568 Townes Ave, Memphis, TN 38122).
