He is survived by: his wife Nancy Smart; his children, David Smart, Kerri Roberts and Chad Smart; his stepdaughter Fiona Turberville; his grandchildren, Rebecca Carrasce, Madison Lyles, Mary and James Roberts; and his sister Shelia Jackson. He is also survived by 2 great grandchildren.
